District of the Bosphorous

The District of Bosphorus is one of five districts of the Archdiocese of Constantinople within the jurisdiction of the Church of Constantinople of which the Patriarch of Constantinople is the ruling bishop. The district lies within the territorial boundaries of the city of Istanbul. The bishop in charge of the district is His Eminence Irinaios, Metropolitan of Myriofyton and Peristasis.

  • Church of St. Phokas, Ortaköy
  • Church of St. George (cemetery church)
  • Church of St. Demetrios, Kuruçeşme
  • Church of St. John, Kuruçeşme
  • Church of the Bodiless Powers, Arnavutköy
  • Church of the Prophet Elijah, Arnavutköy (cemetery church)
  • Church of St. Charalambos, Bebek
  • Church of the Annunciation of the Mother of God, Boyacıköy
  • Church of the Great Archangels, İstinye
  • Church of St. Nicholas, Yeniköy
  • Church of the Dormition of the Mother of God, Yeniköy
