The Diocese of Chicago and Mid-America is a diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia. Its territory includes parishes and missions located in mid-United States of America. The diocesan chancery is located in Des Plaines, Illinois. The diocese was founded in 1954 by the Council of Bishops of ROCOR as the Diocese of Chicago and Cleveland. In 1957, the Diocese of Detroit and Flint was merged with the Diocese of Chicago that then was renamed the Diocese of Chicago and Detroit, and in 2007 it was renamed the Diocese of Chicago and Mid-America.
