::The 2005 International Symposium on Wikis brings together wiki researchers, implementers, and users for the first time. The goal of the symposium is to find a voice for the community. The symposium has a rigorously reviewed research paper track as well as plenty of space for practitioner reports, demonstrations, and discussions. We are honored to announce that Ward Cunningham, the inventor and host of the original WikiWikiWeb, will present the opening keynote talk at WikiSym 2005. Anyone who is involved in using, researching, or developing wikis is invited to WikiSym 2005! -- www.wikisym.org

Does anybody live near San Diego and/or want to go as our representative?

June 2016
St Vladimir's Seminary will host a "Symposium on the Passion of Christ," to be held April 3-4, 2005. His Grace, Bishop Kallistos (Ware) of Diokleia will be among the speakers at this event. The seminary encourages all to join us for this special symposium in which Bishop Kallistos will deliver the keynote address on Sunday evening at 7:30 pm. A full day of lectures will follow on Monday, given by members of the seminary faculty, including Visiting Professor in Liturgical Art Richard Schneider. "The Passion of Christ, his crucifixion and resurrection," says Fr. John Behr, professor of patristics, who will also speak at the symposium, "is both the starting point and the central axis of the Christian faith and liturgical year: taking up the Cross defines us as Christians, members of the body of Christ."  The symposium will begin on the third Sunday of Great Lent—the Veneration of the Cross. Pre-registration is $25; $35 upon arrival at the symposium.  For more information, call (914) 961-8313, ext. 323 or e-mail info@svots.edu.

CrossRoad is a 10–day summer program for Orthodox Christian high school seniors of all jurisdictions to help them discern their life callings, matching personal gifts with the needs of the world. The staff of CrossRoad believes that in just about any direction you choose for your life, it can be of service of God and of neighbor, which is Christ’s call to us all.  This event will take place on the campus of Hellenic College/Holy Cross in Brookline, Massachusetts.

The AAC will convene in Toronto, ON, Canada July 17-22, 2005.  Delegates and observers from throughout the OCA will be given the opportunity to participate in the AAC’s four key components – worship, fellowship, learning, and decision making – focusing on the theme, "Our Church and the Future."  Parishes are asked to begin the delegate selection process in a timely manner so that their elected delegates may prepare themselves for significant and meaningful participation in the Council.  While the Council’s first session will open on Monday, July 18, delegates and observers are encouraged to arrive in Toronto earlier to participate in various pre-AAC workshops on Saturday, July 16 and the Divine Liturgy on Sunday, July 17, at which members of the Holy Synod of Bishops will concelebrate.
