He was the last theology student to receivc his doctorate from Belgrade University before 2004, the Orthodox Theological Faculty having been removed from university from 1952 until its restoration in 2004. He was elected for Bishop of Banja Luka in 1961 and was consecrated by [[Patriarch]] German and two other bishops. On his own request he was transferred to the [[Diocese]] of Srem in 1980. He died in Sremska Mitrovica in 1987.
