Additionally, the length of his term is not known, but it is believed to have been three years - from 166 to169. Given this uncertainty, the most likely opinion, accepted by Manuel Gedeon and Chrysostomos Papadopoulos, is that he was the bishop of Byzantium from 166 until 169.
