I was born on January 12,1944 in Sharon, Pennsylvania and was reared in Masury, Ohio. I attended Stevenson elementary school and graduated from high school in Brookfield. After graduation I attended The Ohio State University, Iona College and St. Vladimir's Orthodox Theological Seminary in Crestwood, New York. I was ordained in 1973 at Nativity of Christ parish in Youngstown, Ohio. I received two bachelor's degrees--one in Russian language and literature and psychology from Youngstown State University, and one in religion from Michigan State University. I received a master's degree in religious studies/humanities from University of Detroit Mercy with specialization in patristic theology and religion and contemporary society. In 1967 I was a representative of the Russian Church delegation to the National Council of Churches in Memphis. At Michigan State University I was president of the Pan-Orthodox Student Association where I served as religious advisor to the Orthodox students. I served as secretary to the Central States Deanery of the patriarchal parishes in the United States (Moscow Patriarchate) and was a member of the Council of Eastern Orthodox Churches of Metropolitan Detroit. While in Detroit I was awarded the hypoganation (nabedrennik or epischion) for my pastoral work. I was secretary to the Iowa Deanery of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America and was an associate member of the Orthodox Clergy Council of Nebraska-Iowa. Currently, I am a priest of the Serbian Orthodox Diocese of Eastern America.
