In February of 1999, the decision was made with the blessing of Metropolitan [[Maximos (Aghiorgoussis) of Pittsburgh|Maximos]] that a portion of the community at St. Gregory's would relocate, allowing for these monks to be more accessible in their ongoing outreach and retreat work. As is the case of many [[skete]]s, the community does not have as extensive a cycle of services as many full monasteries, which allows for a greater flexibility which is needed for the pastoral work done by the monastics of St. Theodore House.
