He is an Archeologist by background, having studied the History of Classical Antiquity, Archeology and Byzantine History, writing . He wrote his dissertation on thesis degree of Byzantine canon law and civil lawat the Institute of Byzantine History (DISAM) at a prestigious Italian universities.
As a young boy, he was part of a parish of [[Russian Orthodox Church - Moscow Patriarchate]] [http://mediolanum.me/1111-2/] directed by Archimandrite Evloghij.

Metropolita Evloghios consecrated with Archbishop Vigile of Paris and Bishop Vassilij of Osta, Vladika Vladimir of St. Julius Island.
