His Eminence Nikodimos (Anagnostou) of Ierissos, Agion Oros and Ardamerion is the Metropolitan of the Metropolis of Ierissos, Agion Oros and Ardamerion, also the Metropolis of Jerissos, Holy Mount and Ardamerion, under the administration of the Church of Greece. The Metropolis of Ierissos, Agion Oros and Ardamerion is a metropolis in the New Lands of Greece, under the jurisdiction of the Ecumenical Patriarchate. [1]. Metr. Nikodimos has been the ruling hierarch of the metropolis since 1981.

Life

Nikodimos (Anagnostou) was born in 1931 in the village of Lisvorio on Lesbos Island in the northern Aegean Sea. His theological education was at the Theological School of Halki with postgraduate studies at the University of Birmingham. Entering the Holy Orders, he was ordained a deacon in 1955 and a priest later that year. He served as abbot at Vlatadon Monastery and with the Patriarchal Institute for Patristic Studies[2] in Thessalonica.

Father Nikodimos was elected to the episcopate in 1981 and was consecrated Metropolitan of Ierissos, Agion Oros and Ardamerion on March 18, 1981.
